Brick Lane played host to a short, but nonetheless special, exhibition between December 1 and 6 this year to celebrate World AIDS Day. “The Optimist” was a collection of pieces created by thirty artists, who joined forces to help those in East London living with HIV and AIDS.

The 1st December saw an opening night with live entertainment and even a bit of eye-candy, as MAC Cosmetics brought their body paint and three live models!

Limited edition prints of the art work were for sale and the proceeds went to Positive East, East London’s local charity helping those infected with HIV live a normal life.
