Obviously we were very excited at Theatre de la Mode when the newest addition to London's fashion calendar was announced yesterday: LONDON COLLECTIONS : MEN.

So far menswear had a bit of a second-class position behind womenswear here in London, with only one menswear day scheduled at the end of every London Fashion Week, which didn't fit in the international menswear calendar at all.

However, this has changed when the British Fashion Council announced their plans for LONDON COLLECTIONS : MEN, an event that will take place between 15th and 17th June 2012 to showcase British menswear and the cultural wealth of this country, which has always been inspiration for menswear designers.
